Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Day Tribute
Nathan Hale High School
At Nathan Hale High School, the day began with a moving assembly featuring local veterans who shared their personal stories of service. Students performed patriotic songs, read essays about the meaning of Veterans Day, and presented handmade thank-you cards to the honored guests.
Frank Lloyd Wright Intermediate School
Frank Lloyd Wright Intermediate hosted a “Wall of Honor” display, showcasing photos and biographies of veterans connected to the school community. This powerful exhibit served as a visual reminder of the faces behind the uniform and the sacrifices they’ve made.
Learning Activities Across the District
Throughout the district, classrooms engaged in learning activities exploring the history of Veterans Day and the importance of service. From writing letters to troops overseas to creating art pieces symbolizing peace and freedom, students found meaningful ways to express their gratitude.
